Dave Seiler creates small scales sculptures that involve concepts focused on war and consumerism. As this relates to my thesis, Seiler is able to use American-type objects and turn them in to pieces of mini propaganda, while maintaining the appeal to aesthetics. "Anus Grenade" reshapes the idea and purpose of grenade into a comical jab at war; likewise "Mayflower" rehashes America's affection for boats-in-jar and the Mayflower while updating the reality of the affect of European migration to the new word becoming rampant with destructive corporations.
