27.Alexandre Kosolapov






Kosolapov warps the images of icons and popular culture. He especially focuses creating statues of Mickey Mouse and Lenin, which I could not get a photo of due to copyright; but his satirical commentary about consumerism shows through in these other pieces. Specifically, exposing the connection between McDonalds and religion. Fast food is more apart of the people than people are apart of religious ideals. "Have you eaten Caviar Lately?" reminds the viewer of an ad, while asking them if they've recently ingested this bourgeois commodity.
