I had seen Maman before, but Bourgeois quality for eerie forms shows through in all of her work. While she addresses societal fears with the underlying concepts, the aesthetics of her pieces are just as tremendous. The object are unsettling and combined with the contrasting materials, Bourgeois elevates the image of the object in presentation.
