"HIV"
Luke Jerram has received more recent attention for his glass sculptures of virus cells, like "HIV". He also made one for E. Coli and Swine Flu, which I understand as a representation of the fragility of life. He also works with installations that involve the viewer to become the piece, like "Dream Director." Jerram had viewers stay over night at the installation where they slept in pods that would play different sounds during REM sleep and in the morning they would discuss their experience. "Ghost Plane" is actually a reflection of a plane figure filled with mercury. This makes me think of environmental costs of technology and travel.
